Rates

The rates for translation are usually based on the amount of words the source text counts. The standard rate for a translation from English or French into Dutch is 0.08 euro per source word. For texts with more technical or specialised terminology, the rate is 0.09 euro per source word. For urgent translations too (at night or during the weekend) an extra 0.01 per source word will be charged.
For the translation of large volumes which are not delivered electronically (through e-mail, on CD, ...), a source word count could be an extremely time-consuming activity. In that case an hourly rate of 25 to 30 euro instead of a source word rate will be applied, depending on the degree of difficulty of the source text and on the urgency of the translation.

The rate for the
revision or proofreading of a Dutch text generally is 0.03 euro per word. For an urgent revision or in case of a text with specialised language, the rate is 0.04 euro per word. If a word count of the source text would again not seem to be practical, an hourly rate of 20 to 25 euro will be charged.

All prices are mentioned exclusive of VAT (21%). Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like a free quote for your text or project that needs to be translated or revised. If desired, quotes can also be requested in US dollars.
