(4) Controller: the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
(5) Third party: a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
(6) Supervisory authority concerned: a supervisory authority which is concerned by the processing of personal data because: | (a) | the controller or processor is established on the territory of the Member State of that supervisory authority; | (b) | data subjects residing in the Member State of that supervisory authority are substantially affected or likely to be substantially affected by the processing; or | (c) | a complaint has been lodged with that supervisory authority.

Processing of special categories and/or sensitive personal data
The Controller's website and/or services are not intended to collect data about website users aged 16 and younger, unless they have their parents' or guardian's consent. However, the Controller cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. Parents should therefore remain involved in their children's online activities to prevent data being collected about children without parental consent. If a data subject is convinced that the Controller is collecting personal data about a minor without such consent, he or she can contact info@vertalingenvaneycken.be in order to get this information erased.
Purposes and legal grounds for processing personal data
The Controller processes the data subjects' personal data for the following purposes:

Personal data retention period
The Controller shall only retain the data subjects' personal data for a period that is limited to a strict minimum in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or otherwise processed.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
The Controller will only share the data subjects' personal data with third parties if that is absolutely necessary for the performance of the contract with the data subjects or to comply with any legal obligation.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the user's computer, tablet or smartphone when visiting this website for the first time. No cookies are stored while visiting the Controller's website.
Data subjects' rights
Data subjects whose personal data are being processed by the controller may exercise the rights set out below by sending a request to the controller at info@vertalingenvaneycken.be. Please attach a copy of your ID to your request to confirm that you are the author of the request. In this copy, please make sure to black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the numbered strip on the back of your ID), passport number and other information to protect your privacy. The Controller will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case within four weeks.
Right of access
The data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data.
Right to rectification
The data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, the data subjects shall have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten')
The data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller the erasure of personal data concerning them without undue delay.
Right to restriction of processing
In specific cases the data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller restriction of processing.
Right of data portability
The data subjects have the right to receive the personal data concerning them, which they have provided to the Controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from the Controller to which the personal data have been provided.
Right to object
The data subjects have the right to object, on grounds relating to their particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning them. The Controller shall no longer process the personal data unless the Controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subjects or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint
The data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority concerned. In Belgium, data subjects can contact the Data Protection Authority on their website: www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be/burger/acties/contact.
Personal data security
The Controller takes the protection of personal data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unlawful changes.
